Domenica: passeggiata Utterson-Enfield

Verso le tre di un mattino d’inverno / trascorremmo il resto della notte / il giorno appresso: narrazione dello scontro con la bambina

 

CAPITOLO II

Quella sera / la domenica sera / quella notte: la sera dopo la passeggiata domenicale

Batterono sei rintocchi: le sei di mattina del giorno dopo (lunedì)

Era una notte / verso le dieci / all’improvviso: incontro Utterson-Hyde

L’avvocato rimase attonito per un breve lasso di tempo / poi: Utterson rimane colpito da Hyde

Ma quella sera: la sera in cui Utterson si incontra con Hyde e riesce a vederlo in faccia

 

CAPITOLO III

Un paio di settimane dopo: Utterson discute di Hyde con Jekyll dopo una cena

 

CAPITOLO IV

Quasi un anno dopo, nell’Ottobre del 18.. / verso le undici / erano le due allorché rinvenne: racconto del delitto Carew

Il mattino appresso di buon’ora: Utterson viene informato del delitto

Le nove del mattino: ora in cui Utterson va a casa di Hyde

Era rientrato a notte fonda per uscire dopo appena mezz’ora: spostamenti di Hyde durante la notte del delitto

(Dopo quasi due mesi di assenza: periodo in cui Hyde sparisce senza avvisare nessuno)

 

CAPITOLO V

Nel tardo pomeriggio: Utterson va da Jekyll

Poco dopo: colloquio Utterson-Guest

 

CAPITOLO VI

8 Gennaio: cena di Utterson con Lanyon e Jekyll

12, 14, 15 Gennaio: tentativi di Utterson di essere ricevuto da Jekyll

La quinta sera: cena di Utterson con Guest

La sesta sera: visita al dottor Lanyon

 

CAPITOLO VII

Un tardo pomeriggio di domenica: incontro di Utterson ed Enfield con Jekyll

 

CAPITOLO VIII

Una sera di Marzo: Poole si reca da Utterson

Nell’anno 18..: acquisto da parte di Jekyll di una quantità di una sostanza per i suoi esperimenti

Dieci minuti: tempo della storia che raccorda due azioni (tempo in cui due servi si mettono a guardia della porta del laboratorio e l’irruzione nello studio)

Ore 10: Utterson si reca a casa sua per leggere i documenti

 

CAPITOLO IX

Il 9 Gennaio, quattro giorni fa: giorno in cui Lanyon riceve la lettera di Hyde

10 Dicembre 18..: giorno in cui la lettera viene inviata

Questa notte / prima di mezzanotte / a mezzanotte: tutte riferite al giorno della lettera, fungono da indicatori temporali dei compiti da svolgere

 

CAPITOLO X

Sono nato nel 18..: data di nascita del dottor Jekyll

 

 

Chapter 1

 One Sunday morning Utterson and Enfield take the usual walk through London.

Some days before at 3am of a black winter morning Mr. Enfield met Hyde when he trampled over a girl's body.

Chapter 2

 The same Sunday evening Mr Utterson had dinner and when the meal was over he examined Dr. Jekyll's will. Then he went to Dr. Lanyon's house.

The day after at 6am Utterson was still digging at the problem.At 10pm Mr. Utterson was waiting for Mr. Hyde.

Chapter 3

 A fortnight later the doctor gave a dinner for his close friends. Mr. Utterson stayed in doctor's house after dinner.

Chapter 4

 Nearly a year later, in the month of Octoer, 18.., Mr. Carew was killed by Hyde at 11pm.

The next morning, very early, a sealed and stamped letter was brought to Mr. Utterson. The same morning at 9 o' clock Mr. Utterson and Inspector Newcomen went to Hyde's house.

Chapter 5

 Later one afternoon Mr. Utterson found his way to Jekyll's door.

Chapter 6

 The 8th of January Dr. Jekyll had a dinner with his friends, but on the 12th, on the 14th and on the 15th Utterson couldn't go into Jekyll's house, because the doctor didn't want to see anybody. On the 16th Utterson invited Guest to dinner, and on the 17th the lawyer went to Lanyon's house and he was shocked by the doctor's appearance. A week after Dr. Lanyon took to his bed and in less than a fortnight he was dead.

Chapter 7

 One Sunday Mr. Utterson was on his walk with Mr. Enfield and they spoke about Mr. Hyde's activities.

Chapter 8

 A March evening Mr. Utterson was sitting in front of his fireplace when Mr. Poole visited him.

Chapter 9

 On the 9th of January Lanyon receives a registered envelope from Dr. Jekyll containing a letter written on the 10th of December. The same day at midnight he went to Jekyll's house and he witnesses the transformation and he is deeply shocked.

Chapter 10

 In this chapter there is a Doctor Jekyll's letter where he explans his experiment
